Nanami-sensei Art

For fans of Nanami Shingo-sensei's artwork, I was just wandering around various websites today when I checked the Memo page on her website and found a link to...this.

The Pirates of Alavaana? XDD

I'm not really sure but...it appears to be either a new manga, illustrated by Nanami-sensei, or a novel illustrated by her (actually, I'm leaning more towards the novel, I think) Nanami Shingo is listed as the "illustrator" while Itou Tatsuki is listed as the proper "author".

...and it's about pirates XDD Well, I was just looking at the character sketches and I think it looks pretty cool. Definitely Nanami-sensei's drawing style. I love her drawings... <3 Besides...it has pirates ^^

But anyways, if anyone's interested, here's a couple more links to various sites that have more info on the novel/manga/thing (and if you copy and paste the Japanese title into Google a bunch of links will come up and you can get Google to sloppily translate bits and parts of it ^^;;) If your computer doesn't read Japanese characters though, you may be out of luck, these sites are all Japanese.

Ohh, I saw this the other day! I was so excited since I was thinking it was another one of Nanami's works. ^__^

I can't read Japanese, so I wouldn't know whether if it's a manga or a novel. From what you said, I'm leaning towards novel as well. Or maybe it's a manga Nanami drew based on a novel by Itou Tatsuki? Hm, dunno. ^^

The pirate character sketches are neat! Pwee, Nanami drew more bishie characters. XD

And thanks for the links, I'm browsing through them (even though I can't read it, but it's fun to look). ;D
Yeah, I was thinking either a novel or a manga where Itou had done the original concept/novel/whatever. It looks more like a novel with just Nanami-sensei's illustrations tho but I can still hope for a new manga by her... <3

Some of the characters really remind me of Kamui ^^ One of them looks like a long-haired glasses-less Yanagi XD And the one in the bottom right corner reminds me of Kojoumaru...because of that crazy smirk maybe...? ^^

I'm actually kind of tempted to buy it mostly just for the artwork ^^;; Maybe it could be my goal to be able to read it one day... It's really cheap, but they'd kill me with the shipping and handling and all that...blegh.
Oh, that looks pretty neat! I'm glad to see Nanami-sensei tackling a new project, tho I was hoping for more manga from her. Ah well, beggars can't be choosers. :p

(BK1 labels it as teens novel and not manga/comics, so I guess it really is a novel then?)
Yeah, I saw it originally and thought "OMGYAYNEWKAMUIMANGA!!" Then, after I calmed down, it started looking more like a novel ^^;; I think one of the other sites I looked at had something about "best-selling books" or "award winning books" on the same page so it's gotten a little harder to argue that it might still be a manga *sigh*

I know, I sincerely hope that Nanami-sensei decides to create another manga...I'm going to be in withdrawal so disappointed once we're done with Vol 11 of Kamui...
